Return & Refund Policy
At CR Fence & Rail, we believe in offering high-quality railing kits at the best possible prices with free upfront shipping on every order. To make that possible, a small Postage & Logistics Fee is embedded into the retail price of each item instead of charging shipping at checkout. This fee covers the real logistics costs of getting your order to you and processing any return; it is non-refundable and deducted from your refund if you return an item.
Our return window lasts for 365 days from your date of purchase.
🏷️ Why Our Prices Are So Low (and What That Means for Returns)
We keep prices low and shipping free by embedding the Postage & Logistics Fee into each item’s price rather than padding prices with big-box-style return margins. Here’s what that means for returns:
- The embedded Postage & Logistics Fee is non-refundable and is deducted from your refund
- A prepaid return label is provided once your return is authorized — its cost is already covered by that fee
- Returns go to a specialized return facility, not the warehouse that shipped your order
- Returns incur handling, repackaging, or restocking fees depending on item condition
If you’re unsure about your purchase, we recommend opening and inspecting just one item before opening more.
📦 Return Location & Label
- A prepaid return label is issued once your return is authorized; its cost is covered by the non-refundable Postage & Logistics Fee already included in your item’s price.
- Do not return your item to the warehouse it shipped from. That location cannot receive it and your package may be rejected or disposed of.
- Use only the prepaid label we provide. Returns are routed to our authorized West Coast return center, and the correct address is included on that label after your return is authorized.
💸 Postage & Logistics Fee — How It Works
To continue offering free upfront shipping on all orders, we utilize a built-in postage and handling structure. While standard shipping is free at checkout, a designated Postage & Logistics Fee is embedded into the initial retail price of each item (calculated individually by item SKU).
How Returns Affect Your Refund
If you decide to return a product, please note that the initial embedded Postage & Logistics Fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from your final refund amount.
This fee is deducted because it directly covers the multi-stage logistical costs of processing an item, which include:

🔧 Damaged or Missing Parts? That’s On Us.
If your item arrives with missing or damaged parts, we’ll replace them at no cost. This is not considered a return and no fees will apply.
🧾 How to Start a Return
- Submit a return request using the form at the bottom of this page. Include the exact item SKU(s) and quantities you wish to return.
- Wait for your return authorization number and prepaid return label.
- Pack the items securely and ship them using the prepaid return label we provide — its cost is covered by the non-refundable Postage & Logistics Fee already included in your purchase.
- Once received, we will inspect your return and process a refund within 10 business days. You will receive a breakdown of any fees deducted.
Refunds are only issued back to your original payment method. Your bank may take 3–5 additional business days to post the credit.
🚫 Unauthorized Returns
- Do not send returns to the address your item shipped from.
- Do not send a return without an authorization number.
- Unauthorized returns may be rejected, destroyed, or lost — and are not eligible for a refund.
